When I download a file the download window clears list automatically. Then I have to go to my download folder to find the file.

Maybe check the browser.download.manager.retention pref on the about:config page to verify that it still has the default value of 2.

Also check that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode and that you keep the download history.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
