You have it the wrong way round, Google toolbar did not support firefox and if my memory serves me right i believe i read on this forum that it won't be updated again.

i don't know who is at fault all i know is i want to keep my Google Toolbar so i will be staying with version 4 until Google is on version 7. Thanks John

You will be on ff4 for a long time then because if you read the link i sent you you will see that it is Google who are saying that they will not be updating the toolbar for any versions after ff4.On top of which you are going to run in to security problems with an old version. Read the link and see the alternatives google suggest.
