Why won'tFirefox 3.6 update to the latest version 5.?
I have Firefox 3.6 and when I download the newest version 5.? it won't update. It acts like it is going to update but when I check the version in the help section it says that it is version 3.6. What can I do to fix it ti update?

Please do the following to ensure a clean installation.
- Go to Download Firefox 5.0.1 and download the installation file to your desktop.
- Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
- Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.
As a precaution though, it's always advisable to have a backup copy of your Bookmarks. To make one, do the following:
- Click the orange Firefox button, go to Bookmarks, then Show All Bookmarks to open the Bookmarks Manager.
- Click the link to Import and Backup and then click Export HTML and save the file somewhere.
You can use the same Bookmarks Manager to import the file you saved by choosing "Import HTML" if necessary.
