update to 4.0 does not access Firefox any more, get Oxc0000056 error message
Whenever I start up Firefox I get a message asking for permission for Mozilla to make changes to my computer. I run W7. If I allow it the next message I get is an Error Oxc0000056 and Firefox will not start again. I have to do a Restore which removes the changes and puts back 3.6 and everything works again. Why does this happen? What do I need to do to make 4.0 work or stop the 'allow to make change' message? Explorer runs okay with no hassles, and after using Mozilla for 10 years I am considering switching. DO SOMETHING!!

Please do the following.
- Go to Download Firefox 4.0.1 and download the installation file to your desktop.
- Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
- Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.
After you complete the installation, please go to the Plugins Check page and update where necessary.
