In Firefox-Preferences-Content I have "Load images automatically" checked, but every time I open an email that has images, I get a message at the top of the email that says "This email contains blocked images." Clicking the "Show Images" button works but is a chore to do for every email with images. The "Options" link to the right of the "Show Images" button takes me to a Spam page, which is useless for this problem. What else do I need to do?

The warning you're seeing isn't coming from Firefox--your webmail provider is blocking images from untrusted sources since they can be used to track if/when you view the email. I don't know which webmail provider you use, but you'll probably need to click a "not spam" button or add the offending emails' senders to your address book.

But again, this is completely outside of Firefox's control--no setting will be able to change this behaviour.
