Firefox won't open external links (from other programs), says its already running but not responding.

AnonymousUser
I'm having this problem, everytime i click a link on other program, like the program's link on the about tab, or a youtube link on Live Messenger, it won't open, a dialog pops up saying firefox is already running and not responding, but it is there, and working.
If it matters, i have the "beta" tab preview enabled on the windows 7 toolbar.

Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the -no-remote command line switch. You can check that on the Target line in the Properties of the Firefox (desktop) shortcut.

I forgot about that option, i've put "-no-remote" so i could open 2 different profiles at the same time, but i didn't think of this problem. Removed -no-remote from the default firefox launcher and now it works. I've put the "-no-remote" option only in the others launchers and it's working perfectly.
Thanks for the help.

You're welcome

I fixed this problem reinstalling Firefox 4.0 for my previous 3.6.17 version. Hopefully Firefox would be able to correct this issues on version 4.0
