Linking Thunderbird to Yahoo Mail
I am having a problem with my Yahoo Mail. I am using Mozilla Thunderbird 11.5.18.0 on Windows7 and have successfully set-up the account and obtained permission from Yahoo to share data to my primary account. However, when I try to add a second e-mail to the account and obtain Yahoo permission, Yahoo does not change to the new e-mail account but retains the first account. This happens even if I am logged into the second account in Yahoo. If I continue, data from the first account is added to the second account, duplicating it. How can I get transfer permissions for another e-mail account in Yahoo?

Matt: I have solved the problem with the help of Rogers/Yahoo support. It requires thorough clearing all cookies and caches before setting-up the new account. When seeking oermissions for the new account, it then asks you to sign-in to the appropriate account.

at what point is this issue occurring? My understanding of yahoo's oAuth login page is that you can always change the email address (username) on the web page. It does not go straight to asking for your password.
Matt. When I try to "Add a new account" it goes to this page to get permissions, but the link (circled) is to my primary account, not the new one I am trying to add. If I "Agree". it sets-up the second account as a duplicate of the primary, not a separate account. I cannot find anywhere to change the account.
