Hi.

Every and each time I try to move any message to my local folders, or make any change on it, I get that error message. I can create new folders inside my Local Folders (for instance, a Test folder) and I can still access the messages stored there, but I can not make any further change.

I have tried these things so far:

1 - Check that I have enough space on the partition. 2 - Check the access privileges (I have set them to Total Control to all users). 3 - Compact all mail folders. 4 - Repair all mail folders. 5 - Rename the Local Folders to "Local Folders.old" and create a new one. 6 - Place the local folders in a different drive. 7 - Recreate the profile, either by copying the files manually and by importing them. 8 - Delete all local folders' .msf files (to rebuild indexes) 9 - Uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird from scratch to the last version - 142.0 (64-bit) 10 - Revert the last W10 system update. 11 - Check the antivirus configuration. 12 - Recover an old backup of my Mail folder (done when there was no error). 13 - Delete the entire disk data partition, reformat and recover it. 14 - Run Thunderbird in safe mode. 15 - Run Thunderbird as an administrator (as suggested by Gerardo below)

The error persists and I have run out of ideas.

Could someone help me, please? At my local folders I have years of messages that I still browse, and I use them as a local archive.

Thank you very much in advance.

Iskandar.

(1) Create a backup ZIP file of the Local folders, just in case. (2) Go TB, show menu bar, go to Help > Troubleshooting information > profiles about:profiles (3) Create a new profile and set it as default. (4) Rebuild from scratch ALL your managed mail accounts and filters. (5) Assign the old local folders to the new profile. (6) Create a backup ZIP of the new freshly configured profile at the System folder and keep it safe. (7) Create a backup ZIP of the mail data, wherever you have it.

Once the new profile checked and running:

(1) Show menu bar, go to Help > Troubleshooting information > profiles about:profiles (2) Delete the old profiles (to clear rubbish from disk).

After all this work (an entire evening a half a night), probaby I'll stay on TB at least for a while, but I am considering seriously to move to MailBird (and while we're at it, move from Firefox to Opera) because TB has never been very reliable and, plain to see, tech support is thin (thank you Gerardo for your time), not to mention the "solution" I have found is no solution at all. It is just to erase everything a redo it from scratch.

So this is my advice: if you run into this same problem, instead of trying to "solve" it, consider moving to a different mail manager. It will take you less effort.

Greetings.

Saludos,

Maybe the developer team at Mozilla can provide me with a solution. If not, I'll have to move (somehow) to a different mail account manager.

Please, help me with this.

Thank you.
