I added Gmail account to Thunderbird on my Desktop and the number of emails is different on thunderbird and on Gmail. On Gmail there are 5666 emails in the Inbox but on Thunderbird the Inbox shows 10319. Is there a way to configure to display the emails as they are displayed on gmail? I'm moving the emails from one account to another and I don't want the client to be shocked when he sees 10319 instead of 5666. the discrepancy is too big.

I suggest checking count by folder, such as inbox, allmail, important. Allmail and important are duplicates of what is in inbox, trash, and sent
