why doesn't my Gmail IMAP account push email to the app? I can't find anything to set. Does the app just check the Gmail online account every hour or so?

Tap the hamburger menu in the upper left corner and press Manage Folders in the lower left corner to set the folders to be pushed in each folder, etc.

As a side note, even if you set push, sometimes emails are slow and do not arrive for several tens of minutes. This may be because it is still beta version and the operation is unstable.
