Hi,

Are you able to change it to your preferred default search engine manually?

yes

Is this about one of the default search engines or about a search engine you installed yourself?

It's a search engine that is installed, by going to the page and clicking add search engine in the address bar

still have the problem.

1. add a custom search engine and set it to default. 2. delete all the other existing search engines such as google, bing, etc 3. create a new profile 4. overwrite/copy the contents of the old profile into the new one 5. in the new profile, google is installed again and set to default

I can't reproduce this.
