My email account with Thunderbird was working fine until I rebooted. Now I'm getting the Account Setup page when trying to launch Thunderbird . As I am not a technical person , I need step-by-step instructions how to restore my email account . Your help is much appreciated .

Launch your old Thunderbird profile using the Profile Manager. See Profile Manager - Create and remove Thunderbird profiles

Stans, thank you for taking the time to help me . I only have one profile . Launching it from profile manager did not resolve the problem . What should I do next ?

That doesn't seem right. Your old Thunderbird profile can't just disappear upon rebooting, UNLESS Windows loaded a temporary profile when you signed in. That happens if Windows fails to load your profile for some reason. You need to investigate whether you're signed in to a temporary profile or not.
