I am not sure if this has been asked or not. My question is this for the bookmarks toolbar drop downs, the color is grey, which I have trouble reading sometimes. Is there anyway to change that color to make it a darker background? Are there any other options out there to change to color scheme even just a black background with white lettering?

You can try to select a different (builtin) theme via customize mode to see if that has effect.
