I was playing around with the new 78.0 version and in an open email window I was right clicking around trying to customize things and came up with a option window with a couple of toolbars selected, I unchecked one to see which one turned off and I think it is call the mail toolbar, it went away. Now I cannot find that option to turn it back on. I went to another installation and could not find where I turned it off. This also took away the 3 lines control button at the right. I need my previous and next buttons and they are gone. If I right click on the tool bar area now I get a customize button that opens the options to add buttons to the mail toolbar, it shows up properly while this is open, upon pressing done after changing buttons the toolbar goes away again. Anyone know how to turn this back on. Screen shot attached. Thanks

Well I fixed my own issue but the bug is still there I think. After reading another message on a different issue, the restart in safe mode with the option of reseting menus and toolbars, and that did fix my issue. But I still cannot find where in the system where to toggle this vital menu. Thanks

View/Toolbars is where all the toolbars are enabled, along with Customize... Press Alt if the Menu Bar with View is hidden. The AppMenu button can be dragged onto or off the Mail Toolbar while the Customize window is open.

So are you saying that my missing toolbar could have been found in the pallet of available buttons? That whole line of the tool bar and the menu button at the right went away at the same time.

I cannot try it now since I fixed it with the reset toolbar safe mode function and I don't want to reset all customization again.

No he is saying if you clicked the view menu and select toolbars there is a list of toolbar there you can turn on.

Not on mine, as you can see in the attached screen shot of a opened message the View/Toolbars menu there is only the option for the status bar. It has to be an opened message window not a new composition window, I see what you mention on the new composition message window.

Still do not see any way to toggle this but since it is fixed via the safe mode reset don't worry too much about this. Thanks.

Update... I discovered how I turned this off, open an existing email, click on the 3 line menu button at the right, click on customize, it will show 3 toolbars. If you uncheck the mail toolbar, it goes away along with the 3 line menu button therefor you cannot turn this toolbar back on or get to this menu button again. I have opened a bugzilla report.

Your last picture shows a View menu that is missing several items, but since it's correct in safe mode, I suggest you launch in safe mode, check 'Reset toolbars and controls', then click 'Make changes and restart'. See if the View menu in normal mode is then like the one in the attached picture.

I think you are confusing the new email window with an existing email view window. I have the same view/toolbar menu like you show also but only in a new email window. Open an existing email and that menu is different. I installed a clean V78.0 on a test pc and it show the same.

I have found a new issue with this, the 3 line menu button is missing altogether in the new email window, whether intended I do not know.

I fixed this not by running in safe mode, but taking the reset toolbars and menus option and it restarts normally.

Please see my attached images and it will be more clear.

I appreciate your help.

Your first picture shows an incorrect View menu in the main window, but the second picture shows the correct View menu in the Write window. The 3-bar AppMenu icon does not, and has never appeared in the Write window. The 3rd picture shows an incomplete display of the Customize section of the 3-bar menu (see attached picture).

You are looking in the wrong place, your photo is from the main interface menu button, my photo is from a view window menu button.

And I dare you to turn off what I mention in photo 3 FROM the email view window, you won't get it back without a reset.

Another thing I noticed, while in the failure mode, if I click on customize, the missing toolbar magically shows up and I can add buttons, but upon pressing done, the toolbar goes away again.

I just checked this on a clean install although it was the 32b version.

Thanks

Yes, I see that if messages are opened in a window, which I seldom do, there is no way to restore the Mail Toolbar if it's hidden from AppMenu/Customize, except with a toolbar reset. With TB 68, the Mail Toolbar can be re-enabled under View/Toolbars. So, the View menu on the Menu Bar for messages opened in windows is incomplete, although not for messages opened in tabs.

I am very happy with version 78 especially the minimize to system tray feature.
