I have Web Mail by one.com and I deleted folders in web mail but they are still showing in thunderbird.
I am using an ISP, one.com, where I have my Mailbox. I was editing my folder structure one day and in the evening I did open Thunderbird to check Emails. The old Folders are still showing as grayed out and the syncronization to the new folders did not show as complterted. As there are items in the old folders accordingly to Thunderbird. However in web client everything are looking good and correct.
It seems that Thunderbird cannot understand the move of folders and want tot show the old structure.
How can I solve this?

This is because you did not unsubscribe from seeing them before deleting the folders off the server. Now you have folders in Thunderbird that cannot synchronise to non-existant server folders.
To unsubscribe: right click on mail account and select 'Subscribe' select the folder in list click on 'Unsubscribe' click on 'OK'
If you cannot unsubscribe from seeing them and you cannot right click and select 'Delete', then you will need to remove them manually from the profile folders.
Make hidden files and folders visible. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
In Thunderbird Help > Troubleshooting Information click on 'Open folder'
A new window opens showing the contents of your 'profile name' folder.
Exit Thunderbird now.
click on 'ImapMail' folder to see contents click on the imap mail account name folder to see contents. locate all files that have the name of the folders you deleted and delete them. If you synchronised for offline use, you may see a file with no extension - mbox file - it holds emails. You will see an indexing file with .msf extension. If that folder had subfolders then they will be located in a *.sbd folder. All three will have same name as the folder you deleted.
Start Thunderbird and everything to do with the deleted folder(s) should be removed from Thunderbird.

Dear Employee
I have unsubscribed all the folders. Uninstalled and deleted the Appdata (Roaming and Local) folder for Thunderbird and installed the software again.
But now I still have the strange folders that I previously deleted. See attachment!
What can I do?

Dear Employee
Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. I just wanted to let you know.
You unsubscribed from seeing folders. But you do not say whether this actually removed them. So I'm assuming it did not work.
Then you completely cleared everything from your computer by deleting the Thunderbird' folder located in Appdata (Roaming and Local) folders. So anything about Thunderbird knowing what was unsubscribed would have been completely cleared as well. Nothing existed on computer.
New installation, new imap mail account folder which then creates a new connection to server and displays folders and any emails therein.
Regarding all those 'greyed out and italised' folders as per image; Thunderbird has got them from the server. They are greyed and italised because they have a \NoSelect flag. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Grey_italic_folders
In Thunderbird.
Unsubscribe from seeing those folders, not just the top level ones eg: AA-SWISS-OLD, but also all it's sub folders eg: 'AUTO' etc.
It is important to unsubscribe from seeing all subfolders because you cannot remove a top level one and not anythng it contains.
Once you have cleared them all by unsubscribing. Then subscribe to see only the folders you want to see.
