When I am viewing a webpage and I click to open a background tab, it only has "open Link in new tab", but sometimes I just want the tab to open in the background so I can go to it later after I finish with the current one.

Do you have any plans to add the option: Open Link in background tab"?

Actually yes, there are (at least for Android), but I’m not sure when that will be implemented. I suggest you keep an eye on this issue.

Note that Firefox for Android opens links in a background tab by default, so I would be in favor of Focus doing the same.
