Firefox used to work OK. It sent me a message that it was updating my Firefox. It would not run. I uninstalled it & downloaded & tried again, No good. Now what?

Firefox used to run OK. It sent me a message that it was updating my Firefox. After that is does not run. I tried uninstalling and then downloading Firefox. it did not work/ It says it can not find my Firefox. It has a long download and very near the end it says the download was interrupted. I tried it 3 times, and the same result. I can not make it run. I am running Windows 7. Please help. Thank you, Carolee
