I have disabled the automatic update and reinstalled TB 38. It will still not get my emails from the server why

The automatic update to TB 45 opened with a screen that asked me to log in. It would not accept any password I could think of having used. It provided a link to reset the password and promised a return email with an instruction link. After several tries, the promised email never arrived. However I am still getting regular emails on my server. I can send emails from TB, but all commands to get messages result in the account being connected, but no messages are downloaded. I have reinstalled TB 38 with the same results. Why is the password reset not responding? Do I really need to log in. I never do on TB once I have logged into Yahoo on the server. That password is known, but not accepted by TB.

When in doubt, reboot! After reinstalling TB 38, I still wasn't getting my emails from the server. Finally in desperation, I restarted the computer. Surprise, all my stacked up messages appeared in TB.

I'm going to leave it in TB 38. It works just fine for me.
