The start screen (png attached) won't go away. I can't get to my emails. changed setting so start screen should not show up at start up. Rebooted computer, a couple times. tried to open a new email. can't shake the welcome screen no matter what I try.

Do you see the folder pane on the left? If not, try Alt + V, Ctrl + L, Ctrl + F The folder pane should now be showing.

Do you see a small triangle to the left of the account name? Click it and the folder tree should open up. See my screenshots for Local Folders. First shows Local Folders closed. Second shows Local Folders expanded open.
