Question: Where is this information Stored? I read that, there will be a file called download.sqlite in the Profile Folder along with places.sqlite. But couldn't find it. Why is download.sqlite missing, can I do something, to make it appear. Or where else is the download list then stored?

For many versions now, downloads are stored as part of history in the places.sqlite database. The old separate database was discontinued.

Have you considered something like the "DownThemAll!" extension? I haven't tried it myself but it appears to be popular: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/downthemall/
