Font and font size : how do I change the default (for outgoing e-mails)?

I go to "Write", I put in the address, etc., and when I start typing my message, the font size is tiny, the font is Times, although under Format - fonts, I see Helvetica and size is extra large. Sometimes using "fixed width" gives me a better font size. I then pick a font from "choose a font", and I'm all set. However, I have to go through the same procedure for every e-mail! HELP!!!

Try changing the settings in Tools - Options - Display - (tab) Formatting - (section) Fonts & Colors - Enter a default font and font-size to use when NO other formatting is specified. Now press the Advanced button on the same line, in the next window verify that the font and & font-size you desire are entered in the selection boxes. Under Font Control - both boxes checked? Your choice.

At first, it worked, but when I went back to "write" later on, I got my usual problem: tiny font size. I went back to Tools - Options -Display, but to no avail: still had to go into the font list to get what I wanted (in "Write"). A Microsoft gremlin?

At first, it worked, but when I went back to "Write" later on, I had my usual problem: tiny font size, although I had set it at 10, with Déjà vu avec sérif. So, back to Tools, etc. , to no avail! Microsoft gremlin?

I have same problem ... at first it worked, but now back to same problem...small font! anyone have another solution? thanksin advance!
