Everytime I open Thunderbird, it opens 3 times then runs extremely slowly. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled, but the same thing happens. How do I correct this. It used to work perfectly

For the additional windows use File -> Close (NOT Quit, but Close)

For the last window use File -> Quit

Open Thunderbird, there should only be one window now.
