
Added email account, don't want separate inbox, etc.
What a PITA! I just registered, spent a while typing, responded to confirmation email, spent a while more typing, and got "Access Denied" when I hit submit. Everything I had typed is gone, and I have to start all over again! I repeat - PITA! The re-type will be a bit more bare-bones. I hope it's enough to get help.
I've been using Tbird since 2009. 4 email accounts, all pop3 configured to use a single Local Folders Inbox. I use popfile to classify/sort incoming mail & message filters to move them into 20+ different folders under Local Folders. It's been working perfectly for years.
I just added another gmail account, configured EXACTLY like the others. But the new one shows up as a separate account above Local Folders in the folder list, with its own inbox & trash folders. NONE of the other 4 accounts show up there. I get duplicates of all incoming mail on this new account - 1 in the account's own inbox, and 1 in the "common" inbox that then gets moved into the correct local folder by the message filter. And the extra account in the folder list causes a couple folders to "fall off" the bottom of my screen. I've set it up VERY carefully so everything fits on my screen WITHOUT SCROLLING. Except that it DOESN'T fit anymore!
What have I done wrong?

Nevermind - I FINALLY found it. Under advanced server settings - use other account's inbox. It's been TOO long since I set up all those other accounts!

I have copied the messages that were in a separate folder to the common inbox. I see the separate folders are still there after saving the new server settings. Should I just delete them after verifying that new mail is coming to the common inbox?
