I tend to introduce carriage returns while composing emails. It is not always obvious when the carriage return is where the text would normally wrap anyway. What looks fine in the compose window ends up as an oddly placed line break in the 'sent' version. Short of fixing my bad habit, is there a feature or add-on to reformat or strip formatting while composing, so I can get better looking emails?

A related issue is that when using "edit as new", the compose window restricts the word wrap to the same width as the original, no matter how wide the window actually is. Thats fine, but there should be a way to reset the word wrap width along with the formatting as described above.
