Whenever I try to download my .docx files from dropbox, they open as .pdf files instead. How do I fix this?

All of my .docx files on dropbox open as .pdf files when I click on them. I can get around it by closing the file and going to the download window that opened when I clicked on the file and clicking download again. It then opens up a window asking me how I want to view the file. However, this is quite inconvenient. Is there any way to make it so that it doesn't automatically open as a .pdf in the first place?
