Subject: Built-in 50 GB VPN missing on Firefox for Android

Hello Mozilla Support Team,

The built-in free 50 GB VPN feature is missing from Firefox for Android on my Samsung device.

Another user in Iran, using the same Firefox version and an Iranian internet connection, has this feature available.

I have already tried:

- Reinstalling the latest Firefox from Google Play - Installing the exact APK from the other user's device - Signing in with my Mozilla account - Enabling Remote Improvements - Clearing the application cache - Testing with German and Dutch IP addresses - Installing Firefox Nightly

None of these steps made the VPN option appear.

Could you please investigate whether my account or device is excluded from the VPN rollout and advise how to enable this feature?

Mozilla's bot protection rejected this request (HTTP 406) and the automatic challenge could not be completed on this network. Please switch networks (Wi-Fi <-> mobile data) and try again.

A lot of sites are very laggy on Firefox android, especially take for example the below link: https://www.gadgets360.com/news

This, as well as any articles in the link are very laggy to scroll post loading with and without extensions and I have been facing this issue since android 15. I am now on android 17 with my galaxy A35.

The site works with no issues at all on Chrome, brave and edge on android.

I download and try Firefox every few months for the last 5-6 years on multiple android phones but face the same issue.

the vpn is free... the limit is 50gb per month

once that is reached  until the month resets the VPN is just not available   is that correct?    thanks 🙏

Recently, a difficulty has arisen in Firefox on my Galaxy S10E Android cellphone. After reading an email in AOL, I often wish to save it in a folder through the use of the "Move" button. But lately, it does not respond when it is tapped. In fact you can tap it dozens of times and it will not produce the list of folders; I have also tried pressing and holding, but that doesn't work either. My wife's Galaxy S10E is having the same problem. I am thinking it arose after an update.

I cannot find or activate the free built-in Firefox VPN described as offering 50 GB. My friend has this feature in Firefox on Android, but it is missing on my phone. Please clarify whether my installation/account is eligible and how to activate it if supported.

Environment: - Firefox for Android on a Samsung phone. All troubleshooting was on mobile, not desktop. - I am in Iran using Iranian internet. My friend is also in Iran using Iranian internet and has the feature. - We compared the same Firefox version. I also tried the app package shared by my friend, but the feature did not appear. - I recently created a Mozilla account with my email and signed in. This did not reveal the feature. I did not test my friend's account.

Troubleshooting: 1. Uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled it from Google Play, and signed in again. The VPN remained unavailable. 2. Checked Remote Improvements: enabled. 3. Tried changing the public IP using a separate phone VPN. This did not resolve the missing feature. The exit country/IP was not recorded. 4. Tried Firefox Nightly. Troubleshooting included Secret Settings and Nimbus. 'Use Nimbus Preview Collection (requires restart)' was initially off. Instructions were to enable it, force-stop/restart Nightly, confirm Remote Improvements, and check for VPN. No working built-in VPN resulted. I do not have a verified record of every final toggle state or successful Nimbus enrollment. 5. Opened about:config and searched for 'vpn': no matching preferences appeared. about:studies did not open. A manually added preference was also tried unsuccessfully; its exact name/type/value is not available in my notes.

Actual result: No usable built-in VPN entry or activation option appears. This is a missing-feature issue, rather than a connection error after activation.

Please clarify: - Is the free 50 GB built-in VPN officially available on Android? Which versions, channels and countries are supported? - Can availability depend on staged rollout, Nimbus enrollment, installation/profile identifier, account age/region, or other server-side eligibility? - Why might two Android users in Iran on the same version see different availability? - Does changing IP affect eligibility? - What supported diagnostics should I collect, and can an eligible account request enrollment/activation? - If Android or my region is unsupported, please confirm and explain what my friend may be seeing.

Please distinguish this free browser-integrated feature from the separate paid Mozilla VPN app/service.

Exact Firefox/Nightly build numbers and Android version were not captured. This report is submitted through a different browser, so its automatically detected browser/system information does not describe the affected phone.

ChatGPT wrote code for me for an electricity cost calculator. The Boolean "required" attribute is used for several <input> elements. This is supposed to cause the browser to popup a notification if data isn't entered in the panels when the Submit button is clicked/tapped on a form. Now this works on Windows using the Firefox browser, and in the Chrome app on Android, but not in the Firefox app on Android. Android version is 16. Firefox is v159.0

This is an example of the code for a text input box:

The attached screenshot shows what the Chrome app does, popping up a notification to enter data if nothing was entered before submitting the form. Firefox just doesn't do anything when I tap the Submit button. ChatGPT added a secondary data check in JS to cater for the scenario where a form is submitted with no entries in the hours or time boxes. I removed the required attribute in the code for these boxes so that either box could be left unfilled (a user can enter hours or minutes without having to enter both).

How can I install the “ASS Subtitle Player” extension on Firefox for Android? The “Add to Firefox” button is disabled / not working. Why can’t I install it and what is the solution?
