We have two Windows desktop computers. One still runs Windows 10 because it does not have the requirements Microsoft set for a Windows 11 upgrade. Recently Windows 10 was reinstalled on the Windows 10 computer, choosing the option to remove apps and settings. Firefox was reinstalled. It started without problem and continues OK. However there is a problem.

Before reinstalling W10, I had copied the Firefox Profile folder to a USB drive. More specifically, I have a copy of Roaming > Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles. Prior to copying the Profiles folder from the USB to the computer, I reread a couple of web pages, including Mozilla, about transferring Profiles. At that point I realized that I may have made a mistake. The web pages stressed that Firefox should not be running when the Profiles folder copying is being done. I’m pretty certain that I had not shut Firefox down. So I am writing this in hopes that someone will be able to tell me how I can replace the current Profiles folder with the folder that is saved on the USB. What follows is some information that I hope can be helpful. On the USB: The Profiles folder contains two subfolders. Each subfolder’s name ends with .default-thirteen digits, the first six digits being identical. The “Date modified” on one folder is a little more than a week old; the other is over 5 years old. On the W10 computer: In the Roaming > Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles folder, there are 4 subfolders: 1st. ~ .default-13 digits starting with 1597077, 695 Mb 2nd.~.default- 13 digits starting with the same1597077, 78 Mb 3rd.~.default-release, 130 Mb 4th.~.default-release, 90 Mb All “Date modified” are very recent, including one date today

So I’m hoping that someone will read this to be able to help me bring Firefox back to what it was before the W10 was reinstalled.

Mozilla needs to come up with a permanent solution to this issue. I know that Google probably started it by somehow changing YouTube, but Mozilla needs to react and come up with a solution.

I am unable to navigate around some websites beyond the page on which I have landed. The site briefly (split second) looks OK and then gets slightly greyed and no other links on the site are accessible. Examples of sites: https://www.signia.net/en-gb/ https://www.flickr.com/

Anyone got any ideas?

Having an issue that happeened after updating to Sequoia 15.7.2, when launching Firefox, it opens a new tab, but nothing loads.

Profiles don't load, I'm unable to search anything, unable to even pull up settings.

Have tried reinstalling, clearing NVRAM, deleting profiles in finder.

In the DevToolbox, the “Copy all as HAR” and “Create file...” functions are not working. It seems that in both cases, only empty space is placed in the clipboard and in the file (this has been happening since the last update).

I went to Wirercutter from the NY Times, tried to search and got the result "HTTP header is larger than 10240 bytes." I performed the same action with Chrome on the same machine with no problems. I am on Firefox 140.4.0.esr running on a Slackware64/15 machine.

have no idea what this topic falls under but getting the update browser error code 99,999 again after restarting the damn computer when it just froze while I went out for 15mins I am updated so have no clue what to do

Accessing my Government sites (pay, Medical) and bill payment sites has become so limited that I'm going to have to stop using Firefox, since I'm having to switch back and forth to do my work and personal business. Why can't Mozilla get Firefox up to whatever standards are needed so that these sites will allow us to use it when working on their pages?

Since I updated to 144.0.2 (aarch64) I cannot sign out clicking on my profile and also have trouble signing into my outlook account. Worked fine before update. Is there a fix? I'm running on MacOS

These features are, at best, unwanted by me, forever. Is there any way to ensure they remain disabled and no future features that use it get auto-enabled?

I am running into an issue with LinkedIn's "My Network" page when using Firefox (115.29.0esr). The page content appears as a compressed rectangle in the upper left of the browser window, there is the ability scroll within that rectangle, the LinkedIn menu bar is to be floating in the middle right of the page, and the rest of the page is gray. All other LinkedIn pages load normally.

I have already tried closing/reopening Firefox, adjusting the zoom, turning of Enhanced Tracking Protection for the page, clearing the startup cache, disabling all extensions, switching to Standard Enhanced Privacy Protection, and using Troubleshoot Mode. The issue persists in all scenarios.
