I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

Basically, I copied this from an old post that I didn't understand the solution when I move my mouse to the top of the screen in fullscreen, the adressbar and tabs come up, I hate that how do I fix it

Every time I open a new tab, another extra tab opens automatically with the following address: https://0.0.0.1/

showing this message: An error occurred during a connection to 0.0.0.1.

I already re-installed Firefox but this bug keems popping up.

BTW: I did not do a d*** thing. It just started yesterday and is extremely annoying!

I have used Firefox for many years and have one chosen color for all visited links. Since the latest automatic update to 125.0.1 a few days ago, the color for all visited links on the New York Times reverted back to the default color rather than my chosen one. My color was erased from all links. Now, in all sections, some of the clicked on links (articles) show my chosen color but many others do not change when I click on them. It has nothing to do with my settings as other sites show my color on all visited links. It seems to be an issue unique to the NYT's. I would appreciate any advice for you may wish to inform them? I had issues login to my Firefox account, so I reset my password, which cleared my data with passwords and bookmarks. I later found where I stored my recovery key and wanted to see if I can recover that data again.

Help -> About "Failed to check for updates."

This has been going on for over a week. I have downloaded and applied the installation program multiple times (>3). The problem persists. What is going on, and how do I fix it? Thanks

Hi there, I have noticed that my Win11 Asus laptop is always short on RAM (16GB available), with Firefox taking up a significant amount even with only a few tabs open.

As you can see by the attached image, when I go to 'about:processes' it shows that GPU processes alone are taking up nearly 1GB of memory, with the only tab running being the 'about' page. I only have 6 extensions (uBlock Origin, Zotero, Containers etc) none of which are meant to be RAM intensive.

What are these GPU processes that are running, and how can I reduce the memory used by them?

looks like a problem with Firefox as no problem when using a different browser e.g. Opera. Also cannot log onto Nextdoor.co.uk using Facebook to log on. Again works fine on Opera

Any links from rcsearch.ru to aliexpress is broken in firefox, but works in another browsers. For example click any aliexpress link here rcsearch.ru/-c48920.

Whenever I go to youtube, it fails to work and leaves an error in the console similar to

I've determined that I can fix the problem by deleting my Firefox profile. I'd prefer to avoid this since there's a lot of useful history there. Is there a more targeted fix the problem I'm seeing?

Occasionally when downloading files on Firefox, they'll freeze completely (often at the very end.) There is no way to pause or cancel the downloads, except to restart Firefox.

When I attempt to restart Firefox, it closes the browser window. However, when I try to reopen it, I get an error message stating that Firefox is running but not responding. The 'Close Firefox' option does nothing, except make the box pop back up a moment later.

I can't kill the Firefox process in Task Manager or Process Explorer, because it says access is denied. I can't kill it using taskkill in command prompt because it says there is no running instance of the task.

The ONLY thing that seems to help is completely restarting the computer, which is getting frustrating to do several times a day.

I can confirm Firefox is up-to-date. Any tips are appreciated, thank you!

My firefox browser is controlled by an organization and I don't beong to an organization.

I can't delete certificates that have authorization to change, block, reroute, access my computer hard drive, you name it. Certificates that I do remove immediately reappear.

The authority certificates are from China, Russia, and many untrustworthy locations.

It happens in Firefox focus on my Android, Firefox on my computer and it appears the spyware has access to my hard drive and phone.

How do I fix this, and can you remove this organizarion from controlling my browser?
