Hi, why don't the emoticons work consistantly in the bookmarks bar?

Hi, some of the emoticons in the menu bar work sometimes and not at all other times. I was using Google Chrome, but switched to the latest version of FireFox as of 10/1/13.

Also, am using Microsoft Essentials.

Are you referring to the favicons for the bookmarks?

This issue is caused when a website changes the file location of their icon. The bookmark favicon is then not updated until you access the site and Firefox can save the updated favicon location.

Yes I meant Favicons.

And thanks for the reply, but I've accessed the sites and sometimes they update, but some of the time this works only until I restart Firefox and again no Favicons.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

You need to click a bookmark on the Bookmarks Toolbar to visit the link and make Firefox retrieve the favicon.
