Mozilla keeps crashing even in safe mode

I have Windows Vista and somehow an old version of Mozilla (9.0.1). Internet Explorer does not work, so I cannot download a new version of Firefox. Mozilla is the only browser that had worked, but now it crashes constantly at startup.

The crashes are from version 9. We are currently on version 21. Please go to getfirefox.com to get the latest version in order to assist you better.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
