After opening Firefox, it shoots off to the right of the desktop screen and I cannot access it. What do I need to do to gain access to the program?

I have used Firefox for many months with no problems but suddenly when I open it, it "shoots" off to the right of the desktop (screen). I click on the icon on menu bar and it shows it is there and open but just not on the screen. I have uninstalled and re-installed but nothing seems to work. What should I do to have my Firefox up and running?

Hi,

This sounds like a problem with your underlying operating system. For a wild stab in the dark, you've somehow managed to set up the display with a second one off to the right; the most common way of doing that would be plugging a display into a laptop. If that's the case, try the display switcher- it's usually Function- Fx, where x is any number between 1 and 12.

If not, what operating system?

Ian.

Thanks Ian, I did go into Appearance and Display (Windows 7) and changed from "extend these displays" to "duplicate these displays." I now have my Firefox back.
