my settings are to SAVE TABS when i close, and remember them when i reopen firefox... but when i reopen, the tabs are gone

i have recently tried to download some add-ons for firefox. the add-ons did not install when i restarted, and now when i close the firefox program, none of my tabs are there when i restart it. i have checked the settings, and i have it set to open to "Show My Windows and tabs from last time" but it's NOT!!!

Do you have Firefox configured to clear browsing history on exit by any chance? Check in Tools | Options | Privacy.

Try using this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/session-manager/
