Unwanted/Virus pop-up window and in window

An unwanted window "results.gugle.com" keeps popping up in conjunction with an obviously fake "Windows virus warning" that grays out whatever window I'm actually in that asks to "allow" "do not allow" a scan of my computer. I always answer "do not allow" but can't figure out how to get rid of it. It happens in various websites, but most often deadlinehollywood.com for some reason.

An unwanted window "results.gugle.com" keeps popping up in conjunction with an obviously fake "Windows virus warning" that grays out whatever window I'm actually in that asks to "allow" "do not allow" a scan of my computer. I always answer "do not allow" but can't figure out how to get rid of it. I often get a pop-up window out of nowhere; the url is "results.gugle.com" which then directs me to any of a seemingly endless stream of ads.

Additionally, I have the "Google Redirect" problem, where I select a link provided by Google during a search, and instead of being directed to the site I have selected, I'm directed to "results.gugle.com" which, again, then directs me to ad after ad.

I have a PC and have tried System Restore several times to no avail. I also have Norton (symantec) software that doesn't seem to pick up this problem; I've run many scans that tell me that my system is a-ok, but this problem never goes away.

I pretty much have the same thing, but I'm on a MAC.
