How can I open E-mail hyperlinks in a private browsing window?
I want to be able to left click a link & open in a Firefox private window. It always opens in a regular browsing window. The only way I have found to do this is to right click the link & left click "copy link location" & then paste in a private window address bar. I do not want to use a 3rd party program or extension & I don't want to create another Firefox profile either.

Well now. You want Thunderbird to tell your browser of choice (whatever that might be) that it should open links in a private window. Despite your choice being Firefox the underlying assumption is the browser is decided by operating system settings, not Thunderbird. It just passes HTTPS requests to the operating system for execution.
In the case of Firefox it has a right click menu but you issue is you want to tell Windows 10 that it should open links in Firefox using a private window.
Generally there are two way to do that. Only the first applies in this situation.
If you want Firefox to always run in Private Browsing mode by default: • Permanent Setting: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > scroll to History > choose “Never remember history” from the drop-down menu and restart Firefox. • Shortcut Flag (Windows): Right-click your Firefox desktop shortcut, select Properties, and add -private-window to the end of the target path inside the Target field
Thunderbird has a similar issue to what you want with oAuth and Yahoo. Yahoo shares cookies when setting up oAuth and Thunderbird was unable to offload that to the browser because there is not way to tell the browser to open a private window this time. Every other provider now authenticates using the system browser except Yahoo.
If the developers can not achieve it for their authentication needs, I think your chances are slim beyond making it a permanent setting in the browser.
There are some hidden preferences relating to helper applications that might be made to setup a non system browser to execute HTTPS requests, but it is not tested and the preferences exist primarily for Linux but I think they could be bent out of shape to fit. I certainly do not have the interest to experiment with them however. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hyperlinks-in-messages-not-working
