HOW DO I GET MY INBOX TO PUT THE NEWEST EMAILS AT THE TOP OF MY INBOX?
My email used to put all my new emails at the top of the inbox. But recently it has started putting them in between the emails already in my inbox. How can I get my inbox to load my new emails at the top of the inbox?

Settings you would need:
- View > Sort by > select 'Date', 'Descending' and 'unthreaded'.
- View > Folders > select 'All'
- View > Threads > select 'All'
Set up default here:
- Settings > Appearance
- Select 'Table View'
- Default Threading: select 'Unthreaded'
- Default Sort by: select 'Date'
- Default Sort Order: select 'Descending'
You can also propagate those settings to all your folders in the account.
- Select 'All existing folders' and click on 'Choose'
- where you select 'Folder and it's children' then hover over the account name and then select the account name'.
You would need to repeat that last option for each account.

It sounds like you accidentally turned on Message Threading. Check out the settings at menu option <View | Sort By> and pick the options you want (probably "Unthreaded" in this case. If the menu is hidden, press <Alt> or <F10> to reveal it. Those options are also available at the Message List Display Options button to the right of the Quick Filter button.
On the line at the top of the program it has file, edit, view, etc. Under "view" I found "sort by" and it showed 3 options: threaded , unthreaded and group by sort. I checked unthreaded, but it still is messing up. Under "view" I also found "threads" which shows: all unread, threads with unread, watched threads with unread, ignored threads, expand all threads, collapse all threads. I really do appreciate your help on this. I hope you can think of something. sf
There are a number of threading options and a number of combinations of options that have different results. This article goes into better detail than I can:

Let me know how it goes.
Thank you, so much, Linn. I can't get anything to work in the "thread" department. I've actually push and marked so many buttons and boxes I think I've messed up really good now. I'm just going to have to live with it. THANKS!
If threading has already been disabled: Maybe it's sorting by something else. In the Message List, do you use 'Table View' where each email only uses one line and you can see column headers ? If yes, click on the 'Date' column header If that sorts with oldest at top, click on 'Date' column header again to reverse the sort so newest is at top.
