Email includes signature from html file and plain text
When I send an email with my HTML file signature Thunderbird appends a text signature as well. The text signature is not visible in the draft email, and is not in the settings. The text signature is added for separate identity with no signature enabled. I want to stop this. Any ideas please?

I solved this myself. I had a set up a footer in Gmail that was being appended to the email sent from Thunderbird. I deactivated the Gmail footer and problem resolved.

I suggest keeping only what is inside the BODY tags, but do NOT include the BODY tags. That is because thunderbird already does that. What you are doing is creating a second email within the email.
