If you logon to comcast account via Yahoo login do you see all the folders ?

In Thunderbird I'm assuming you are using IMAP. Have you updated all the Account Settings > Server Settings for the account to use the yahoo servers?

Try to see if you need to subscribe to see folders.

  • In Folder Pane
  • Right click on the comcast mail account name folder and select 'Subscribe'
  • click on 'Refresh'
  • You should see all your folders listed.
  • Select all the folders
  • click on 'OK'

Thank you for your reply. Yes I am using IMAP and have updated the server settings to yahoo. I have also subscribed and refreshed on the folders. I know the folders are on the server because I see them when I log into Yahoo Mail on their website. Any other suggestions? I live Thunderbird and want to continue using it.

re : I have also subscribed and refreshed on the folders.

When you clicked on 'Subscribe' Did it show all the folders in the list?

It did not show all the folders. And all folders was checked and greyed out.

In Account Settings Select 'Server Settings' for the account On the right click on the 'Advanced' button

uncheck the checkbox 'Show only subcribed folders' Select checkbox 'Server supports folders that contain subfolders and messages' click on 'OK'

Exit Thunderbird. Allow a little time for background processes to complete and then restart Thunderbird.

Did this work ?

OMG I just logged into my mail on Thunderbird and all the folders are now there. I'm not sure which of your suggestions worked but my issue is solved. Thank you so much for your help!

I think I should mark your first reply that worked. It just took a few hours. Does this sound reasonable?

Good to hear you can see folders again.

As for which one worked....What happens if you ... Account Settings Select 'Server Settings' for the account On the right click on the 'Advanced' button

select the checkbox 'Show only subcribed folders' Select checkbox 'Server supports folders that contain subfolders and messages' click on 'OK'

Restart Thunderbird and now see if they all remain visible.

If the last comment means you can still see everything then ...

I know originally you unchecked the 'Show only subscribed folders', thus switching it off. but did you select checkbox 'Server supports folders that contain subfolders and messages' thus switching it on ?
