Ok, I'm on my third coffee this morning, so I'll jump in. WHY? Installing Thunderbird is just a matter of clicking the exe file. That sets up a default profile, an empty addressbook, and a desktop icon> All with that one click. Thunderbird also has what is likely the most extensive database of email provider settings, making the effort a simple step of clicking New account>email, and then filling in your name and email address. And the upcoming Thunderbird Pro will even provide the account. What more would AI do? Please understand, I am really curious about what steps might be included, as the setup seems trivial. Is it really that difficult that even ai can't set up Thunderbird for someone who's been using Firefox for 25 years?
