Lost Backup in Sync after factory reset of the phone
My phone broke down and I had to send it in, for it to be repaired. As usual for warranty repairs the phone needed a factory reset to be sent in. Before doing that I backed up my session using Firefox sync as described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/mobile/backup-recovery-and-sync/backup-data That went fine and I could access the data from my PC.
Now my phone returned, I reinstalled firefox yesterday and immediately after signing in, my backup in Sync was overwritten with a blank session. Is there any way to get the old session back?

This is definitely a Mozilla issue using the phrase back-up.
FYI... SYNC IS NOT A DATA BACKUP SERVICE Sync info... https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-sync-my-computer https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-choose-what-information-sync-firefox https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/sync/ https://hacks.mozilla.org/2018/11/firefox-sync-privacy/ Sync is not a backup tool but it is a good sync/transfer/move tool https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/707681

Hi Felix,
I'm quoting the following snippet from the Sync Firefox data article.
deleting data on the server does not delete it from your devices. Any data that your local devices have from previously using your account and Sync will remain on that device.
Can you check if you still have the data on your PC?
