Tab goes blank, URL disappears, and unable to reload when selecting with poor internet connection

I have numerous tabs open on Firefox. If I have a poor internet connection and/or am connected to my VPN, often when I select one of the tabs, when Firefox attempts to automatically reload it, the page goes blank, the URL disappears from the address bar, and I am unable to manually reload the tav. At the very least, I expect the URL to not disappear from the address bar.

I have numerous tabs open on Firefox. This is on an iPhone btw. Latest version of Firefox and iOS.
