No this did not help, it continues to lag, just a few seconds less but it's still there.

• Click “Troubleshooting Information”.
• Click on “Refresh Firefox”.
• Confirm.

I tried to Refresh and now it's happening when I click on links in excel spreadsheets or email. It freezes up FF for 5-10 seconds before loading the page.

BTW I'm on Windows 10, not Linux.

That seems like a random suggestion because we don't know the root cause of the problem. If it doesn't solve it (which I don't believe it will) because Firefox refresh does relatively the same thing. It would just be more of hassle than an actual solution.

Has to be a true reason why this is going on all of a sudden. Note, I do have 160 tabs open (but only 5 are in use and the rest are not loaded yet).

Sorry @FirefoxWhodi, Im not that experienced and I don't really know what to do. I think @FredMcD can help you on this one. Again, I am very sorry I couldn't do much and Stay Safe!

We do recommend a full, clean reinstall when we suspect the browser files were corrupted.

In most computers, there are several types of Safe Mode. The primary ones used most are;

• Safe Mode: Only programs that came with the computer are started. No other programs will be started unless the user starts them.

• Safe Mode with Networking: Same as above but the network drivers (internet) will also be running.

This is a way to test if one of the other programs on the computer is causing the issue.
