Firefox Quantum Pop-up: "Firefox can't load your profile it may be missing or unaccessible" No known solutions work
Since upgrading to Firefox Quantum I get multiple pop-ups that freeze firefox. They appear everytime I start the application or open a new tab. The error goes like "Missing profile - Firefox can't load your profile. It may be missing or unaccessible". Once I click Ok on these pop-ups, the program works normally and all my extensions and bookmarks are loaded without any problem. It's just annoying that I have to click those pop-ups every time.
No other knowns solutions worked. I've tried:
Reinstall firefox from scratch Run firefox in safe mode with no extensions Deleting profiles.ini Deleting/Renaming the whole profile folders in AppData Renaming the profile folders with latin characters only (no numbers) Run antivirus/antimalware Creating a new profile Erasing cache
Nothing seems to work since this update. I actually didn't try a previous version of Firefox first because I want this one to work, and second because right before the update it worked just fine and I didn't do any major changes to my computer.
I really hope someone can help me solve this, I don't want to change browser. Thank you.

kaspersky has provided a fix for this issue - if your license is still valid you should upgrade to the 2018 version of their product line.

hi, are you using an old version of kaspersky software? please either update it to their current version or else uninstall it to get rid of that problem.

Would adding the folders to the exclusions also help? Is there another way I can stop kaspersky from messing up with firefox?

Closing kaspersky has indeed solved the problem... Thank you very much.
Hi everybody, The update of Kaspersky Total Security to the latest version (2018) does not resolve the problem. I get tired with all this situation and I find the latest version of Firefox (Quantum) completely unacceptable. It is slow and harmful. After that I am forced to ditch Firefox for good. Thanks all the same
What is more, I find it quite unacceptable Goole to use the users of its programs as beta testers without their will.
More than that, on Windows 7 with the latest Kasperky Total Security been installed, the Firefox update to Quantum version results in disability to restart Windows. Good work indeed!
