Why might manual "Check for updates" not find updates?
I have a Windows 7 64-bit machine currently running Firefox 55.0.2 (64-bit). Up until yesterday, it was running 54.0.1 (64-bit).
On this machine, I do a manual "Check for updates" once a day so I was very surprised when 55.0.2 showed up yesterday because "Check for updates" had never found 55 (August 8) or 55.0.1 (August 10).
Is there a reason (logical explanation) for this? Were those updates (55, 55.0.1) possibly not released for all configurations?

Updates from Firefox 54 or lower to 55.0 and 55.0.1 had been suspended once some bugs were identified with the Firefox 55 version. When Firefox 55.0.2 got finished and released updates were enabled once again.

V55 has been giving users problems re; Bug1388584 I think they are still working on it.
Are you having problems?

Nope, no problems so far. I've also updated FF on 64-bit installs of Windows 8 and 10 and have not had any issues (although I've been doing most of my browsing on 7).

Thanks! I was hoping it was something like that.
