IMPORT CVS FILE

I'm trying to import a CVS file using First Name, Last Name, Primary email. when I import, under the Name I get the first part of the email address and then the full email under Primary. I've tried any number of variations and was able to get a first name when I used the Display Name but I am not able to get a last name to show up.

so either I get Display Name with the person's first name and under Primary I get the email address

or I get the first part of the email address and then the full address.

What is happening?

Open 'Address Book' Tools > Import select 'Address Books' and click on 'Next' Select 'Text file (LDIF, .tab, .csv, .txt) and click on 'Next' locate the saved .csv file and click on Open

I presume you did the above ok, but did you then.... map the .csv file column headers to the Thunderbird column headers. when they are correct click on OK.

I did all of that. What shows in my address book after I try to import are only two columns: Name & email

I see no other columns after importation despite the fact that I map First Name, Last Name and Primary Email

OMG! I just found View and clicked on it and found my answer. Shows what working early in the morning will do for one rather than late in the evening.

thank you for the information.
