As this feature is readily available with a simple touch in multiple other browsers, in the latest live release of Firefox for iOS, is there a request desktop site feature? If there is not, are there plans to include one in a later version?

It's not in the current version, but there are plans to add it. I don't know about the timeline.

Since suggestions tend to get lost here in support, please use the page for feature suggestions for Firefox for iOS:

https://fxos-ios-browser.ideas.aha.io/ideas/new

Or you could use the more general feedback page accessible through the Settings dialog:

  • Tap the tabs button
  • Tap the gear/wheel/cog icon
  • Tap "Send Feedback" to open the feedback page
