Have read all issues but can not resolve this. Firefox 12 (Windows 2000 server) as master Firefox All of a sudden has started showing "Sync encountered an error...unknown error" and "unable to sync for more than 7 days" with nothing changed on network Other devices (2 android) remain synced Have reset the sync from browser n changed the recovery code

When I try and manually sync, same error.

Any clues please, belwo is last error log complete after clearing all caches etc.

hi john, unfortunately the old sync service is in the process of being shut down: https://blog.mozilla.org/services/2015/07/31/shutting-down-the-legacy-sync-service/ only sync 1.5 which requires firefox 29 or higher is supported as of now.

That's abig shame and issue!

I can not use later than version 12 as later ones do not support Win2k. I have a big network of win2k machines as was most secure operating system if screwed right down and I have loads of programming software we wrote that I do not have months to rewrite!

Any suggestions for future, as not so worried about bookmarks and passwords as they are only ones synced and rarely change, bui the message every few minutes is a nuisance. Maybe just have to work out how to delete the account! No probs syncing pc based versions as all use the same profile on the server andI back up passwords and bookmarks regularly.

Any chance of a workaround in the future?
