Hi all I run a Linux desktop and use TB 3.3 with extension lightning. I would like to open *.ics files with lightning (to define an event) and not with TB (to create a mail). But when I download a *.ics from internet my FF browser only offers "Thunderbird" to open the file with. But opening *.ics with TB creates a new mail with an attachment of the *.ics file. How can I default to open with lightning calendar?

Thanx in advance.

You'll have to import the .ics file into Lightning. In the calendar tab: 'Events and Tasks' (Alt-N) - Import

Okay, obvoiusly there is no chance to tell a browser or filemanager to open *.ics with lightning. Importing seems to be the solution.

Thanks all.

I can see the ICS files now but what about .VCS files for outlook. And isn't there a simpler way than to copy the file out of tb and then do a magic hidden keystroke ??? Where is this calendar tab that isn't grayed out in the View tab?
