When you try to download a file, are you getting an error message?
By default, Firefox for Android will use the Android Downloads folder as its default download location. You can change this as follows.
Changing the download location on Firefox for Android requires a visit to the about:config preferences editor. You have to change two different settings to make this work.
First, you need to know the folder path you want to use. An app like ES File Explorer File Manager will be helpful if you do not have a file manager.
(1) Open a new tab to about:config (type about:config in the Awesomebar and tap the go arrow or tap Enter).
You may want to bookmark this for easier future access.
(2) In the search box, type down and tap Enter
(3) Scroll down to browser.download.folderList and tap Modify, then change the value from 1 to 2 (from "default always" to "last used folder"). The change should appear after a few seconds.
(3) Scroll back up and tap the large "+" button to the left of the search box to add a new setting
(A) The name of the preference should be browser.download.dir (this stores the last used directory)
(B) On the right side, tap Boolean and in the popup change it to String
(C) The value depends on the folder you want. For example:
/sdcard/FxDown
(D) Then click Create (if you are too slow, it may clear and you might have to start again)
If you switch back to your other tab and download something, it should go to the new folder.
Any luck?

Hello, thanks for this explanation, but on my latest firefox for android this don't change the download folder. Again the default download folder on android system were used. Again and again. Please look at the attachment photo.
Is there anything I didn't set properly maybe?
Thanks in advance
@Vladislav
I'm using firefox 33.1 & the above directions work for me. Your problem may be that either you're specifying (in "browser.download.dir") a directory that doesn't actually exist on your device, or else it does exist on your device but you're misspelling it somehow. Try these 2 suggestions to see if they help you. 1) Take the directory that you want to use in "browser.download.dir" & try creating it on your device. If you can do that, then you shouldn't need step 2. 2) If step 1 doesn't work, use "/sdcard/Pictures" in "browser.download.dir", that's exactly what I use (without the quotation marks of course), so that location is almost guaranteed to work. Download something (example = a picture) & use "ES file explorer" to see if it did indeed get downloaded there. If it did, then if you want to use another location, try changing that location (& make sure that your new location either already exists or else create it).

Thanks very much for your answer. I really don't know what happened, but after a day, or maybe after a couple of firefox restarts, now is ok. Firefox didn't want obviously immediately to accept changes which I've made (no matter the download folder existed already etc), but after a day or two, or maybe, I don't know exactly how many simple restarts, now is ok.
Much obliged man for your time. ;)
