I have not installed any new software. I have no backups or mozilla login. I've always used a single profile. My passwords disappeared from the browser. On checking the profile folder, I noticed that the key4.db file an logins file existed. So there is a reading or encryption or other problem. The logins file has data in it. LLMs told me that it was a different encryption because of a mozilla update. what do i do

I'm experiencing FireFox completely dumping my saved passwords at least once a day or when a new FF version is downloaded and installed. This forces me to to use "Import passwords from a file" to get my passwords back so I can log in to my Mozilla acct. I update my password file after every change. I'm running Win 10 Pro x64 on a Dell workstation running a Xeon CPU E5-1650, 3.2GHz, 6 cores w/ 2 threads/core, 32g RAM. It's not Win 11-capable.

This has been happening for about a year. I never used to log into Mozilla. I thought logging in might fix the problem, but signing in only made the issue happrn motr often... I've been an MCSE since 1998.

I have several password managers; how can I determine which one is used at a site and show logins? Passwords app, Firefox password managers (was called Lockwise), Authenticator and Google apps.

In changing a password for a website, I instructed Firefox to save the new password before the website told me the password was invalid for lacking more than one numeric. I'm having difficulty finding the original password. I'm hoping that, somewhere, Firefox saves a history of passwords for a site so I can proceed to change the password based on the original.

The last few months every time I shut down my laptop all my passwords are deleted.

I update almost every day.

My computer crashes very often, but usually restores when I click on offered restore button.

I was randomly checking some old password and noticed that for many of them, even those I surely know I have not used recently, Firefox showed a similar last used date: Sep 17, 2026.

For some common website, that I know I use weekly, the last used date is also Sep 17, 2026. The Created and Updated indication seem correct for the sample I have, so the issue might be only with Used.

Might be due to the Firefox update (not sure exactly of when I did it), but in any case it would be good to have this function working again.

I hit the password and see only a Google or chrome box I should see keypassword app for I only save them in this app so how can I avoid have to search copy n paste

I am repeatedly experiencing entire deletion of all saved passwords for unknown reasons or cause. I initially thought the Firefox Updates were the cause so paused them, it has not been effective.

I have been told that there is a way to recover old passwords and or those in another profile (I do not have another profile that I am aware of. The recovery would be ideal but would settle for just halting the erasure of passwords saved and used daily.

I use Proton Pass and sometimes it pops up and sometimes not. Extension is installed. But Firefox pops up to manage password while it is not activated. See image. What can I do to have reliable Proton Pass. Thanks

I've always used Firefox -- for more years than I remember. Today, it took an inordinately long time for my desktop to open up, and when it did, all of my passwords in Firefox were gone. They are still there in Chrome. What happened?
