Hi all, I've been experiencing an issue with the file picker. I'm not sure why, but when a website says "click to upload" and I click it, nothing happens, although drag and drop still works. Also, I can't download anything as when I click "save as" nothing happens? I'm using arch linux and bspwm window manager if that helps. Any help is much appreciated :D

My current version of Firefox is 149.0 (64 bit) Mozilla Firefox for Arch Linux Arch Linux - 1.0 I am running this on two computers, a laptop and a desktop, both running Arch Linux, currently at 6.19.10. I use the laptop much more, and recently noticed that I cannot upload or download files with Firefox. No file selection window opens and the request is simply ignored. Nothing appears in my Downloads folder. Meanwhile, I also noticed that this function works just fine on the desktop computer. I don't remember making any settings changes. I do have popups generally disabled but can enable them for certain sites. In any case, I have tried enabling popups and redirects completely with no change. I figure there must be something different about the settings on these two Firefox installations, but what? What can you tell me? Or ask me? Thanks.

Go to https://archiveofsins.com/i/thread/772970/#772970 Click on a cat picture It GETs the data it displays the image long-press download "Descarga fallada" The image is rendered. It is on my device. No one should be able to stop me from saving it. Warning to the wise: for your eyes' safety, do not visit any other part of archiveofsins.com other than the provided URL pointing to cat pictures.

i can see the video detected but when i click on the blue download button it says sadly we failed at downloading that specific video. It does this for youtube videos no matter how many times i try it. i never had this problem before and it seemed to have started in may of 2026

Everytime i try to download an image, firefox gives a 0b file and fails the download after a while. I have tried saving the images from opening them in a new tab and still hasn't worked. Build #2016164375 - android 14

Mac Tahoe 26.4. Any attempt to download or upload results in a file chooser/picker/browser panel that shows part of the finder interface but not all. Can't interact with it besides switching between sidebar items, no files visible, can't close or exit this window, can't interact with anything else. The only active button on the top of the window is the fullscreen button. Have to force quit firefox every time.

I tried troubleshoot mode and it did nothing. There is a workaround for some download links where I can open them in another tab and they automatically download without opening the window. Drag and drop options seem to work for uploads when they're available.

I took screenshots and was going to attach them, but this problem prevents me from doing that. This browser's sorta bricked for me at the moment.
